Operational Leader at SiS Youth Home Ljungbacken
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse, across the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Ljungbacken receives boys aged 16 to 20 years. The institution is located in Uddevalla.
Job Description
Do you want to help create the life-changing difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as an operational leader is a meaningful role. In the role of operational leader, you are responsible for institution-wide coordination and management of ongoing work outside office hours, in the evenings, weekends, and nights, with the aim of promoting a safe care and work environment. You guide and strengthen your colleagues in their work and ensure that the work is conducted legally and in accordance with applicable governing documents, methods, and set goals. Specifically, this means that you are responsible for incident management during alarm situations and take necessary actions after an incident occurs. You communicate noted deficiencies and deviations from routines to the relevant managers. You establish and update safety assessments and make decisions regarding coercive measures according to LVU, LSU, and LVM in accordance with SiS's work and delegation order.
Qualifications

You should also have:
- Relevant higher education such as social worker, behavioral scientist, or other equivalent higher education, or at least a two-year vocational college (treatment pedagogical) along with experience working within SiS or similar operations.
- Several years of experience working within SiS or other operations focusing on care, treatment, and safety, such as social services, care and treatment, correctional services, or other relevant operations.
- Good ability to lead, prioritize, and coordinate a workgroup.

The position is a permanent full-time employment and begins with a six-month probation period. Start date by agreement. Working hours are distributed across days, evenings, weekends, and nights.
